His Sun sign is Aquarius, and the degree is six. That translated on to our 90 degree dial is 6 degrees of Fixed. Always start at the beginning. We have 30 degrees of cardinal plus six degrees of fixed 30 + 6 = 36 degrees so, we put the symbol of the Sun on 36 (6 degrees of fixed.)
Set the first chart out on the outer wheel nearest the numbers.
Next comes the Moon on 1 degree of Pisces. This translated on the 90-degree dial is 30 degrees Cardinal plus 30 degrees of fixed plus one degree Mutable. So we put the symbol of the Moon on 61 (1 degree of Mutable.) and so on.

This now completes the spread of the horoscope. Please make sure all positions are correct. Now go to the next blank chart and cut out the one that you have used leaving the smaller circle with the three rings.
Place this chart on top so that the smaller one is on top of the other. Make a pin point in the centre with a pen and the attach the two circles together with a press stud or dome so the inside circle can rotate.
Then duplicate the chart you have done with the same planetary spread so that they match exactly on the next ring. On the third ring from the outside add at the top the o degree mark, the thirty degree mark and the sixty degree mark for easier viewing.
Chart (1) and Chart (2) then become one for use with the solar arc.
Paul Newman’s natal chart is now set out on two charts attached to each other. Chart one and two are identical except chart two is smaller. Now make sure both charts line up on 0 degrees. Now you can swivel chart two around to any one of the degrees shown.
