Melbourne media personality, John (Sammy) Newman, was born on the 22nd December, 1945 in Geelong, an outer suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. On the day he was born the Sun changed signs from Sagittarius to Capricorn. Watching his rise to fame as a media personality and the unfolding of his personality on the popular “Footy Show” here in Melbourne, one would have to think that he was born when the Sun had just moved into Capricorn. Turmoil and unrest have been a way of life for the people of Pakistan for some time now, which is considered a hotspot for corruption and terrorism. Allegedly Pakistan have Nuclear weapons and chemical warfare at their disposal.
Because of this unrest, Benazire Butto, the oldest child of former prime minister, Zulfkar Ali Bhutto, living in exile was lured back to help make a difference.
Twice already she has been leader of Pakistan. In 1988 she was sworn in as prime minister but was subsequently removed from office 20 months later for alleged corruption. “Hollywood Babylon,” is a book that describes life in that fair city as blissfully rife with scandal and innuendo. Written in the sixties, by Kenneth Angers, the man who first turned film land gossip into an art form, it was followed by a sequel in 1984.
It seems very little has changed over the years and if there were to be an edition number three, it would be a hot seller. All we hear out of Hollywood these days is stars either on drugs, in meltdown, rehab or jail. The head lines tell it all.
Much has been written about pop princess Britney Spears over the years, and she is just one of the many young stars who cannot seem to get their act in order.

We Look at the Horoscope of Luciano Pavarotti

Opera lovers around the world were saddened to hear the news that Luciano Pavarotti had died and although he was born in Modena, Italy, on 12th October, 1935, his talent and his rare gift, belonged to the world.
Times were tough during his formative years but despite the depression and World War II, Pavarotti says, he has only good memories of his upbringing.
Pavarotti started singing in the local church with his father at around nine years of age, but his genius was not recognised until much later.
He dabbled in many things before he took singing seriously.
On the day that this larger than life character was born the Sun was in the sign of Libra and the Moon in Aries. Astrotheme website lists his time as 1.40 am which would give him a Leo Ascendant.
If this timing is correct it, makes him a triple fire sign and that certainly fits his personality. The ambitiousness of fire sign people is well justified by natural ability and the shear strength of the Leo Ascendant, invariably commands respect.

Police and an ambulance were called to the home of Hollywood A list actor, Owen Wilson on Sunday, 26th August, 2007 where he was found in a distressed state, after allegedly trying to commit suicide.
Wilson was born on 18th November, 1968 in Dallas Texas to parents Laura and Robert Wilson and I think most astrologers would agree that this was a powerful day, with both the Sun and Moon in the sign of Scorpio. It is a combination that gives enormous energy to the personality, as well as a good dose of magnetism.

August 18th 2007 marked the thirty year anniversary of the death of Elvis Presley, undisputed, “King of Rock and Roll,” and even after three decades, it seems we still have a morbid fascination for him.
Last week, thousands of fans turned up to the Graceland Estate, in Memphis, Tennessee, to pay homage to the man dubbed in his early days, “Elvis the Pelvis.” Sadly; for those fans who subscribe to the conspiracy theory that the King is still alive, astrological truth tells us that he is dead.
Elvis was born in a two roomed house on 8th January, 1935 in Tupelo, Mississippi, the second of identical twins. His brother Jesse Garon was stillborn, so being an only child, the bond with his mother was extremely strong.

Doris Greaves - The Queen is Dead – Long Live the Queen

It is with great sadness that I announce the death of Doris Greaves, Cosmobiologist and ASTROLOGER extraordinaire, last Wednesday night, 11th July 2007, at 9.00 pm in Canberra Australia.
At the time of her death Neptune had come to the Sun by Solar Arc as well as Vertex = Neptune and Ascendant = Venus which indicates an abundance of experiences in the spiritual and psychic world. The transits of the hour Jupiter, Moon, Node, Ascendant also indicated a spiritual release from this earthly plane. A happy event.
Doris was born in Melbourne, Australia on 29th July 1919 at 2.04 pm to parents May and Harry Varey. On the day she was born the Sun and Moon were both in the sign of Leo, but it is the degree of the Moon along with Mercury, Saturn and the Mid-Heaven that tells the story, all being on the fixed star, Regulus. (29 degrees Leo)
In her own book, “Cosmobiology into the 21st Century” she describes the fixed star as one of the major marking stars of the ancient world, which gave power to kings, princes and heads of state. It is also gives the ability to rule. No wonder she was known as the Queen of Astrology on this side of the world.
