America is in mourning once again, over mass shootings on a school campus. It was only a short time ago, whilst driving back to Melbourne from Sydney that I read an article on mass school shootings around the world and the statistics said that roughly, three quarters of those shootings were in America. Sadly, we can now add one more.
Cho Seung-Hui was born in South Korea on 18th January, 1984. he moved to America with his family when he was eight years old. His chart tells us that on that day the Sun was in the sign of Capricorn, the Moon in Cancer, and Mars in the sign of Scorpio.
On the positive side, this combination can give great courage to overcome adversity but on the negative side, it can be a volcano waiting to erupt. Deep intense passions can be seething inside and beneath the cool and austere appearance can lie lurking, a burning drive that keeps emotions in tight control.

Around 10.00 am on Thursday 22nd March 2007, after visiting my son at the airport on his way home to Canberra, from an overseas trip, I went through what is known as the Burnley tunnel. This tunnel is the longer of the two tunnels known as City Link which moves our traffic around the busy city of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia on any given day. The Burnley tunnel is 3.4km long and runs under the Yarra River.
In discussion with my son I had been telling him of the particularly nasty transits of the next few days and advised him to be careful, in turn I too said that I would drive home carefully.
I travel the highways and the byways of the busy city roads a lot and often use both tunnels, the shorter one into the city is known as the Domain tunnel and the longer one out, is the Burnley.

On Tuesday November 7th 2006, whilst Australian’s were in the midst of a horse racing frenzy, the American people had much more serious issues on their mind when they were voting in their midterm elections.
Wikipedia, the online encyclopaedia tells us that these are the elections in which members of Congress, State Legislatures, and some State Governors are elected, but not the President. These elections take place in between the major election.
For the first time in twelve years the Democrats now hold the balance of power after a seismic shake-up, bigger than Bush’s home state of Texas, shifted the power, from Republican to Democrat control.
