(1) No house system
(2) The twelve signs of the zodiac are multiplied by 30 degrees to get the 360 degree circle and the then the signs are put into the quadruplicates
Cardinal - Fixed - Mutable
(3) We have now reached the point where we need to cast a chart and then we are ready to enter the planets and personal points onto our zodiac wheel. (You will need to download two blank charts. (these are located at the end of the lesson) then we will go through the steps, with our sample chart of Paul Newman.)
The marks indicate 0 to 90 degrees as seen with the increments of five making it easier to see where they are located.
It is advisable to first mark the positions of 0/30/60 with a point or dash indicating the cardinal/fixed/mutable changes.
The next step is to enter your work in such a manner that the chart is left lying and not turned so that all positions/symbols are right side up. Start on the left, going, in toward the centre and proceed from there toward the right. This is the neatest way to enter your symbols even in the case of clusters.
Some basic knowledge will be helpful like:
(a) glyphs or symbols
(b) zodiac signs
(c) planets and personal points
(d) movement of the planet
Books that will be helpful once you start the lessons:
(a) Ebertin, Reinhold, Combination of Stellar Influences, used for predictive work.
(b) Greaves, Doris student workbook (new edition)
(c) Hewitt, William, Astrology For Beginners, or any books that give the basic interpretations of the planets in the signs. This book also gives interpretation on aspects.
(d) Ephemeris for 20th and 21st century or a computer program that does the calculations for you. There are several good programmes on the market for Cosmobiology. These include Janus, which was designed specifically for Cosmobiology or Solar Fire. The ephemeris is a calendar of the stellar bodies. It records the stellar bodies in the heavens on a daily basis either at 12 midnight or 12 noon.
