…. Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the loss of human freedom – to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances… Victor Frankl (Man’s Search for Meaning)
I am not sure how these words can help anyone in the first moment of impact when you loose a child through death but one day after the veil of grief has been removed, one can see the philosophy behind the meaning.
The sudden and unexpected death of Jett Travolta, sixteen year old son of John Travolta and Kelly Preston has left a pall of sadness over their family, friends and many American people.
In Australia we to have become fond of John Travolta and his family through his association with Qantas, our national air line carrier. So; we too feel the pain.
One of the of the most powerful tools a Cosmobiologist has at their disposal, is the casting of an Ingress chart and using the influences to guide them for the next three months. (Please see other article in the archives for comprehensive details)
An Ingress chart is cast four times a year when the Sun moves into a cardinal sign. (Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn) We then compare this chart to the natal chart and the influences that show up, are the events likely to happen during the following three months.
Combined with our other tools like Solar Arc, Progressions, Solar Returns and we have an excellent guide as to what is going on in our lives all the time and then we can act accordingly. However, I must stress that the best results are on the 90 degree dial. Last year I was able to save the life of my daughter with my knowledge and ability to read the Ingress charts. She had a heart attack at 42 and if it wasn’t for the validation in the chart we may not have had the result that we did. She has coped with the situation remarkably well. Earlier the same week my granddaughter’s physical eduction teacher, died from a heart attack and he was born the same year.
Each quarter, one of my rituals is to cast a charts for each member of my family, along with a chart for Australia, my country, Victoria, my state and a chart for America, as in my opinion this country is the powerhouse of the world. I assemble these charts in a folder and bind them together thus having the information at my finger tips.
I then watch the transits over the vital areas. This quarter when I cast an Ingress chart for America, I did note that Saturn in Virgo was conjunct Neptune, square Mars across to the Moon’s Node. This pattern usually indicates sadness, mourning and bereavement. My first thought about the American Ingress was that this is not a good pattern for Barack Obama, President Elect’s inauguration date.
His natal Mars is parked squarely on the axis of the Mars/Neptune. However, the inauguration will have a chart of its own. My second thought was that it may indicate the death of a popular person, as the Pluto/Sun (danger to life) of the Ingress was across to Venus. (a tragic love) Certainly the death of Jett Travolta can be reflected in the collective mourning.
The Travolta’s are public people who have to some degree managed to have a private life and so it is with their grief. They have closed ranks and only a chosen few have been to their home in Florida to farewell their son. On one hand this the personal choice we were talking about in Victor Frankl’s opening statement which is, “to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances….”
On the other hand being that the grief is clearly showing up in the horoscope of America, it is a shame that the funeral or memorial service was not a public affair. Mistakenly in their grief, people sometimes tend to get selfish and try and shield themselves from the outside world.
As public figures we really have to stop and think of others who also care. Whether we like it or not we need to share not only the good times, but also the bad times, with our public. It is a choice that may not sit well with them later on especially the mother as she has the natal Saturn/Node and that was activated on the Solar Arc. Dealing with loss and grief for over 20 years you get to know what works and what does not. Many Americans who feel the loss will not have their grief acknowledged.
We need to be there with them, if not physically then at least the service should have been televised. Closing ranks is not always the right answer. I have used the tri dial for John and Kelly, with the Ingress set for Florida. I have placed the pointer on the chart of Travolta, because the Ingress Mars across to Travolta’s Saturn, clearly shows Ebertin’s death axis.
Preston has the Ingress Saturn across to her natal Saturn/Node which in Ebertin’s book, “Combination of Stellar Influences,” describes this as death of relatives or kindred. If anyone has the janus computer program and puts her chart on the dynamic quad dial then they will see that at 45 years of age the chart mirror’s itself on the 90 degree dial. Everything is opposite so it is quite a pivotal point in our lives.
The Saturn/Node of the natal is across to the Saturn/Node of the Solar Arc triggered by transiting Saturn. Jett Travolta came into this world for a purpose. He had an amazing spirit of love and joy. He was born on 13th April 1992 (no time or place available)
With the Sun in Aries and Mars in Pisces he had a sensitive nature with a delicate ego. As he grew into adulthood he would have appeared much more confident than he would have been. However his devoted family would have seen to it that he was protected.
Men in our society are not encouraged to show affection especially in public and this type of personality needs plenty of love and affection. From the pictures I have seen he certainly had his share of cuddles and was not lacking in that department.
And so in the words of Michael Jackson:
Like a comet blazing across the evening sky
Gone too soon.
Like a rainbow fading in the twinkling of an eye
Gone too soon.
Shining light and splendidly bright
Here one day, gone one night
Like a castle built upon a sandy beach
Gone too soon.
Like a perfect flower that is just beyond your reach
Gone too soon.
Born to amuse, to inspire, to delight
Here one day,
gone one night.
Like a sunset dying with the rising of the moon
Gone too soon.
