Brittany Murphy Horoscope

Once upon a time there was a little girl who wanted to grow up and become a princess. Many years went by and as luck would have it, the princess emerged. She had the world at her feet, living the Hollywood dream and all at the age of 14.

This little princess was Brittany Murphy, born in Atlanta, Georgia on 10th November 1977, (no time) which makes her a native of the sun sign Scorpio. On the day she was born, the Moon and Venus were also in the same sign.

People born under the sign of Scorpio have a large dose of purpose coupled with a thoroughness of execution. They are strong, forceful, and determined, which makes for a very volatile combination. In Linda Goodman’s book, Sun Signs, she says that the Scorpio woman has a deep mysterious beauty.

She’s magnetic, proud and totally confident, so it was no surprise when I read that Murphy was so sure of her own success, she got her mother to sell up their home in Edison, New Jersey and move to the bright lights of Hollywood.

Murphy’s parents separated when she was two years old and she was raised by her mother, who according to Murphy, never tried to stifle her creativity. The move to Hollywood paid off and soon she was on her way to fame and fortune. At the age of 14, she landed her first role in the series Drexell’s class.

The timing was right, as Murphy had natal Pluto/Node = Venus by Solar Arc. In Ebertin’s book, Combination of Stellar Influences, he says that this influence has unusual power of attraction and can be the beginning of new associations which may possibly be important to one’s future. Work followed on a regular basis, movies, television, voice acting, providing the voice of Gloria in Happy Feet, among many other roles.

Murphy was also involved in singing and modeling so; she well and truly established herself as an all round performer. Mars, planet of will power, courage and determination is in the sign of Leo, combined with the strong Scorpio signature in her natal chart, shows, enormous energy and magnetism plus a large ego that commands applause.

Her chart suggests something of a compete package. Brittany Murphy died on December 20th 2009 from a suspected heart attack however; a few days after her death, it was alleged that many prescription drugs were found on her bedside table. Mystery surrounds the circumstances and we still await the coroner’s findings. Where did it all go wrong with this young lady? We are born on a given day, at a given time and place.

This is our natal horoscope, and the planets and personal points are frozen in time. During our life here on earth, the planets ebb and flow through the universe making contacts to the natal chart and along with other methods which include progression and solar arc movement, astrology can provide significant information for the individual to enhance the promise given in the chart.

If we take into consideration, hereditary factors, environmental conditions and then of course, the old age question, fate and free will, when all things are weighted, in the end, it is the synchronicity of the whole that determines our fate. On the day this actress died, several patterns came into play.

The natal Node/Pluto came to the Sun by solar arc and this was triggered by the transiting Pluto in Capricorn and Mars in Leo, indication a common and tragic destiny. With fate, we could say that there is no such thing as a sudden and unexpected event, as the potential for disaster is set up long before the outcome, just awaiting the triggering mechanism.

Tragically many young people today, live in a society that has a culture of self destruction. Binge drinking, alcohol abuse and even drug abuse is just the tip of the iceberg. A far bigger scourge on society is the use of prescription drugs and a combination of all three can have disastrous consequences. Many cases have emerged over the past few years, Heath Ledger, Anna Nicole Smith and Michael Jackson being the most high profile and even with the arrest of Michael Jackson’s private doctor, we still keep shoving the evidence of over medication under the carpet.

Brittany Murphy appears to be just another statistic. As I write this article there is yet another statistic, actor Corey Haim, dying from a suspected accidental prescription drug overdose on March 10th 2010. Haim, a reformed drug addict had flue like symptoms and was staying with his mother at the time of his death. There is still much debate about prescribing anti depressant medication but my research over 20 years in the funeral industry tells me there is cause for concern.

Much of society misuse and abuse of common medicines is because there is little follow up after the medicine has been prescribed and worse still a lot of medication can now be purchased over the counter, with no monitoring at all. I read somewhere recently that wealth is a by product of doing a good job but wealth in proportion to the good job, has got way out of line and for many of the young, they just don’t have the maturity or expertise to deal with it in a productive way.

With too much money and too much time on their hands, celebrities are succumbing to the dangerous craze of drinking, drug taking and prescription pills, in epidemic proportions.

Let’s hope with Pluto, the planet of creating and destroying, breaking down and rebuilding, in the sign of Capricorn, for the next 10 years or so, which is associated with law and order and structure, can bring back some semblance of order to our lives and sift out the wheat from the chaff.
